Jaime, a native of Lemoore, California, joined the Marine Corps after high school to travel the world. After boot camp, he attended the Armed Forces School of Music and has been stationed in Okinawa, Japan, Camp Lejeune, NC and fell in love with the Low Country lifestyle in Beaufort, SC.  While serving his twilight tour at MCRD Parris Island, Jaime retired after 20 years of service and decided the Low Country was definitely the place to call home with his wife and 2 daughters. After retirement, he opened a small home based repair shop that quickly grew throughout the Low Country, allowing the opening of Hamner Music, Beaufort County's only full service music store/band/instrument repair shop. Jaime is a member of NAPBIRT and has served on its Board of Directors. He has taught master repair classes throughout the country and overseas. He graduated from Minnesota State College Southeast Technical (Red Wing) with a degree in Band Instrument Repair. Jaime has been repairing musical instruments for 25 years. An avid supporter of music education in Beaufort County, he also donates his time working with numerous local non profit groups to help the continued growth of music in our up and coming generations.
